    Description

Plants of infinite elegance and which can easily be grown in an apartment, which however do not have large or colored flowers, but express the concept of beauty through a perfect harmony of shapes.

if we also add their properties as plants that purify the air, the liking stars increase even more.

Are there any small ferns that you can place in some corner of the house? Is it possible to grow Nephrolepis in the apartment? The answer is positive for both questions.

A common evergreen fern native to eastern Asia and Oceania, which loves the tropical climate, but is also well suited to the domestic temperatures of our homes.

Nephrolepis are spectacular plants, real green pearls of rare beauty, ready to give a touch of elegance to your home. No bright colors, just different shades of a refined green.

Nephrolepis (common fern) can easily be grown in pots and is considered as an invaluable plant for the home and for health. In what sense? It is able to absorb and eliminate particles of harmful substances released by solvents or other chemical products, cleaning the air we breathe at home.

The Nephrolepis, better known as ferns, are really many and most of the species can be grown without any problems even at home.

Cultivating Nephrolepis is really very simple, because they are very robust plants and are also well suited to climates other than that of their natural habitat.

Before moving on to the various tips for taking care of and pampering these spectacular ferns, it is necessary to make an important recommendation.

Since they are plants without flowers, where green is the dominant colour, it is often noted that the leaves are polished with non-natural products. Avoid this operation because they prevent the plant from carrying out its natural functions and are very dangerous for its health.

Despite the rapid growth of the Nephrolepis, it is not necessary to use a large pot right away. It is advisable to proceed with repotting every year in the month of March, choosing a pot with an increasingly larger and deeper diameter.

Never forget to place coarse sand or small pebbles on the bottom. This layer will not only support the specific soil to be used, but will prevent dangerous stagnation of water.

They are not plants that love low temperatures and not even a lot of light. This means that it will be possible to grow them in the garden only if you live in an area with a mild climate that is never too cold in the winter months and only by choosing the perfect location in very shady areas of the garden.

A constant temperature of around 18°C is just what is needed to see these plants grow healthily and with bright green leaves. Nephrolepis love heat and humidity and really can't stand the cold: this is why we advise against growing them in the garden. Temperatures that drop below 10°C can kill the plant.

Sun or shade? We choose a middle ground. The various species belonging to the genus Nephrolepis do not particularly like the sun's rays (even if of all ferns they are the most resistant to direct light) and it is advisable to place them in areas of partial shade.

Don't forget to water your beloved Nephrolepis! As mentioned several times, ferns are plants that love humidity and a lack of water or an environment that is too dry could damage them and cause them to die.

Another tip is to often spray water directly on the leaves.
