    Description

The Nepenthes x ventrata, obtained by crossing a Nepenthes ventricosa and a Nepenthes alata, is a very common carnivorous, robust but with a relatively slow growth.
it is native to the Asian regions, it is present in the wooded highlands with hot and very humid temperatures, both during the night and during the day, throughout the year.
These plants are characterized by bright and glossy green leaves, at the ends of which the characteristic ascids with a reddish-green color are formed.
Although it is classified as "starting Nepenthes" for neophiles, it still requires particular attention as regards temperature, light and humidity, essential elements for the correct cultivation of this plant.

    Vegetative period: All year round.

    Winter rest: No.

Watering: The peat must always be moist, water from above without using saucers to avoid stagnant water which the plant does not seem to like particularly.

Temperature: Being a tropical plant, the temperature must never be lower than 15°C / 18°C; it is obligatory during the winter months to place the plant in small heated greenhouses, while in the summer period, the temperature should never exceed 38°C.

Light: In large quantities, but pay attention to the sun's rays which could burn the leaves, shade during the hottest hours.

Humidity: The environment in which it is grown requires a high humidity rate (above 80%).
For this reason, the plant must be vaporized several times throughout the day, especially during the summer.
